breathing a bit following the Supreme Court ruling. Like millions of other families, we have been holding our breath regarding the mandates that the current regime has been attempting to force on American workers.

When the recent rulings were announced, we felt relieved (for now) for us but saddened for many others. We’ve had several friends actually already lose their jobs over this.

Freedom is simple. It is not confusing nor does it require complicated legal scenarios.

If your livelihood continues to hang in the balance, we are praying for you, and if you’re like us, you understand that local, state, and corporate tyrants are waiting in the shadows to do what the court felt it could not do – force you comply.

Hold the line, friends.

We are standing with you.

If you’re new to our space, please allow us to clarify our overall stance: We do not engage in arguing about specific protocols, treatments, etc. We are anti-mandate and pro-freedom.

not spending much time on social media. It has been several months now since we began to express our very serious concerns with many of the social media platforms. These issues have continued to give us great pause, resulting in our spending more and more time in our blogging space and interacting with our email list.

While we are saddened to see these platforms participating in an outright attack on our very way of life, we are enjoying getting back to writing and sharing in the ways we did when we first started blogging years ago.

Sure, it felt a little weird to delete all my Facebook friends – (Note: Since I did this, I’ve not heard from a single person I didn’t already talk to regularly – pretty interesting, huh?)…and while Instagram has always been one of my favorite spaces to hang, it was getting old being censored for weeks every time I mentioned going down to Ron Desantis’ Free Florida – can you imagine if I had mentioned…

Never mind – ha!

Anyway, hanging in those spaces less has been different, but honestly, it’s been good. I wish I’d stepped away long before I did.

waiting on baby cases. Baby cases have been slow! Every so often, we receive a case, and I wish I was at liberty to show you first-hand how the decisions of the current administration are impacting these families. The border crisis is real. The fentanyl issues are only increasing. I pray your eyes are open to the devastating impact of leftist policies that only lead to destruction and death. I will not be silent on these matters.

Just this last week, we said YES to a little baby boy who had already arrived. We were really excited about the situation and a bit bummed when our Not Yet email hit our inbox the next day, but with each one of these cases, we want what God wants.

When we receive those Not Yet emails, we feel excited for the family that received their Yes phone call. We pray for the mamas. We pray for the babies. We pray for our hearts to be willing and patient as we wait to read the story God has written for us. Our family is fully surrendered to His plan, and we have felt such peace in the waiting.

God is so faithful and good.

celebrating Aubrey Day. January 15th was Aubrey Day! If you’re not familiar with this day, it’s a pretty big deal in our house – such a sweet day of celebration we look forward to every January!

A Glimpse Into Our Life - New Year 2022

Friends, I realize this Glimpse Into Our Life maybe seemed a little heavier than others, but we’ve all been living a nightmare – it’s hard to pretend like everything is fine when, in reality, freedom-living Americans are in the fight of their lifetime.

Like many of you, we are praying that brighter days are ahead for this country we love, but if not, we are grateful to know this is not our home. Eternity awaits – and we can look forward to all things being made right and spending eternity with the One who holds all things in His hands.

Excerpt from Chasing Contentment by Erik Raymond:

The main thing to remember about God’s providence is that He is not disconnected from or disinterested in what is happening in the world today. There is no such thing as chance, luck, or fate. Rather, God is upholding, governing, and ordering all things with His very hand. Nothing escapes God’s sovereign control… God’s providence is not merely a general oversight of the world but applies to everything and everyone. It reaches into every home, to every member of the family, and to every meal on the table. It extends to everything that happens to us and our neighbors.

Reading this book is how I kicked off 2022 – It is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time.

Friends, God is in control, and you are NOT alone!
