Froot Loop Donuts are quite a blast from the past! Remember Froot Loops cereal? A childhood favorite for many of us!

Equipment

  • 1 Mini Donut Pan
  • 1 Piping Bags/Plastic Sandwich Bags

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Unsalted Butter Softened
  • 1 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Froot Loops Crushed
  • Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Food Dyes

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Prep the donut pan by spraying it with baking spray.
  • In a medium mixing bowl add the sugar, salt, butter, milk and vanilla and almond extracts, stirring together until combined.
  • Next, add the baking soda, powder and flour and whisk together just until combined.
  • Split the batter into 4 different bowls. Dye each bowl a different color; red, yellow, blue and green.
  • Place each colored batter into its own piping bag Snip the end of the bag and fill the prepared donut pan, filling each mold about ¾ way full.
  • Place in the oven for about 12 minutes. While the donuts are in the oven, prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Let the donuts cool for 10 minutes out of the oven.
  • Take your vanilla glaze and dip each donut in the glaze then cover with the extra fruit loops.
