You guessed it– Rolos and pretzels.
It doesn’t get any easier than that!
Introducing Rolo Pretzels
Look at these Rolo Pretzels…I mean just look at these!
The kids and I love making these, and I just had to share them with you.
These sweet and salty treats make for such a fun little snack.
If you haven’t made them before, Rolo pretzels are essentially just a Rolo candy (chocolate + caramel) sandwiched between two pretzel halves.
The whole thing then gets baked until the chocolate is melted and bubbly.
Rolo Pretzels Recipe
This simple recipe is quick and easy to make and is fun to do as a family activity.
We set up a Rolo pretzel-making assembly line, and everyone has a job.
One kiddo is in charge of unwrapping the Rolos® while another kid arranges the pretzels on a foil-covered baking sheet.
We top each pretzel with an unwrapped Rolo.
Then we pop our baking sheets into a 250°F oven for five minutes.
After just those few minutes, the melty goodness is ready to come out of the oven.
Next, we top each partially melted Rolo with another pretzel and then let these little treats cool for just a minute or two.
After a bit of cooling time, they are ready to devour.
They are so, so good – the perfect combo of sweet and salty.

Rolo Treat Variations with Nuts and Candy
The recipe on the back of the bag (You didn’t think this was original with me, did you?) says to top each Rolo with a pecan to make a Rolo Turtle Pretzel.
I didn’t have any pecans on hand, but I did try a few with cashews. The other flavors seemed to overpower the taste of the cashew, but maybe it’s different with pecans?
Have you tried either one of these ideas?
Several of my Instagram friends mentioned making these at Christmas time and topping them with red and green M&M’s.
So we gave the M & M’s a try!
Such a fun and festive idea!
I think I might have stumbled on to the perfect party food for the holidays.
If sweet and salty together is wrong, I don’t wanna be right.
These are perfect for the holiday treat boxes we put together for our neighbors during the Christmas season.

If you liked this idea, you might just want to try dipping your potato chips in chocolate. This has become another sweet and salty favorite in our house.
Usually, if you’re topping them with something other than a pretzel, like a nut or m&m, you don’t put the pretzel on top. In fact, I’ve never seen this idea with a pretzel on top — I will have to try it! I’ve usually just topped the pretzel with a chocolate kiss and after melting, putting an m&m on top.
I love the idea of using a chocolate kiss – my kids love those! I’m going to try that with them – Thank you!
