Creamy Italian Soup with Sausage

- 1 lb. of ground pork
- 1 onion diced
- 2 cloves of garlic chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes optional
- 4 cups of chicken broth
- 14.5 oz. can of petite diced tomatoes
- 8 oz. pasta
- 1 teaspoon of Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 cup of grated parmesan
- 4 oz. of cream cheese
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- salt and pepper to taste
In a large skillet, brown the sausage and onion - making sure to break the sausage apart.
Then add the garlic and [optional] red pepper flakes.
Next, add the chicken broth, tomatoes, pasta, and Italian seasoning.
Bring everything to a boil and then reduce the heat to a simmer until the pasta is cooked.
Incorporate the parmesan cheese, cream cheese, and heavy cream.
