Throughout the holiday season, there are few things I enjoy more than blessing friends and neighbors with delicious yummies to eat – whether these Christmas treats be sweet or savory!
In recent years, my simple Snowman Mix has become a crowd-pleaser, and
my hubby’s famous savory Chex Mix Recipe has become a favorite for many!
In fact, most of our friends and relatives have come to expect it every year!
Not only do they look forward his chex mix, but they also like when we gift them with one of these fun cheeseball kits.
Not only are these Christmas treats fun to share with those on your holiday list, but they are also perfect for sharing with your neighbors! What better way to show those close by that you care than to deliver them a festive package containing something you’ve made with a whole lot of love.
Want to join our family in loving on the neighbors this year?
Step-by-Step Instructions to Make This Happen
Step #1 – Gather a variety of fun food-wrapping supplies*. Holiday-themed cupcake boxes, decorative tins, plastic containers, zippered sandwich bags, anything goes!
Step #2 – Head to Walmart to pick up everything you need to make your holiday baking happen.
While you’re there, don’t forget to grab
Pillsbury™ Vanilla Flavored Frosting
or
Pillsbury™ Funfetti® Red Vanilla Flavored Frosting
AND M&M’S® Brand Minis Milk Chocolate Baking Bits (We’re going crazy over these right now here in our house!)
Step#3 – Prepare your Christmas treats.
This Year’s Christmas Treats Recipe:
Step #1: We used Pillsbury™ Radiant Red Funfetti Cake Mix to create a cake batter base.
Step #2: Next, we added a splash of peppermint extract to give our batter an extra dose of holiday! Not only that, but we also added M&M’S® Brand Minis Milk Chocolate Baking Bits. What could be a better surprise when biting in to a cupcake than more chocolate? Yum!
Step #3: After baking our Christmas Treats on 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes, we pulled them out of the oven and let them cool for a bit.
Step #4: Later that evening, we topped our cupcakes with Pillsbury™ Vanilla Icing and then decorated the top with more of the red and green M&M’S® Brand Minis Milk Chocolate Baking Bits! Each one of us used our own creativity as we decked out the top of our treats, which resulted in each cupcake having its own personality!
Step #4 – Package everything up in the simple bags or containers you’ve gathered.
Step #5 – Tie a festive bow on top (or not) and deliver with a smile!
*Following the holidays, I like to keep an eye out for discounted items that I can use the following year! Over time, this has saved me lots and lots of money.
Want to include a gift tag or a sweet note thanking your neighbors for being so wonderful throughout the year?
Delivering thoughtful treats serves as two gifts in one! Not only did we enjoy the gift of family time as we baked together and taste-tested all the yummy goodness, but add being able to enjoy the gift of giving, and you’ve got the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.
