Create the Farmhouse Table of Your Dreams

Do you remember when I shared the rustic headboard we created using Ana White’s design? Not long after our headboard was complete, we dove headfirst into another project: creating a Farmhouse table.

Want the details on our Farmhouse Table which is actually a DIY Version of one of Restoration Hardware’s amazing dining room tables? Okay, here we go!

The wood we used for the top of our farmhouse table came from Lowe's, and while the home improvement stores in your area might carry the pieces of wood you’ll need for the base.

We actually grabbed ours from a locally-owned specialty store that offered exactly what we needed.

The wide pieces of wood that make up the tabletop, the pocket holes, and the bulky screws we found at a salvage store and used as our hardware are just a few of my favorite things about this table.

What did we do for seating? Well, at first we made wooden benches to match the table. We thought it was going to be a good fit for our crew, but we actually didn’t love it.

We watched for these cuties to go on sale and then paired the sale with one of World Market’s furniture coupons.

We felt like we got a great deal, and we love the extra farmhouse touch they add to the table!
