Touch & Feel Farm Animals – Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers will enjoy having this book read aloud to them and feeling the textured areas on the different animals throughout the book.

Egg to Chicken – This book is one of several books in this life cycle series. This book is a fantastic teaching tool. It is interactive for young children, but not too juvenile to use with elementary students learning about animal life cycles.

Noisy Farm – This touch and feel book also has sounds. This book will make your little one giggle non-stop!

Front Cover of Peek-A-Boo-Farm - Lift-the-Flap Book for Preschoolers

Peek-a-Boo Farm – This interactive book has been a favorite in our house for years. It has a fun rhyming pattern throughout as well as flaps that can be lifted to reveal hidden animals on the farm. I do not currently have a link for this title, but if I find one, I will update this area of the post.

Lift-the-Flap Shadow Book: On the Farm – Children guess what’s under each flap in this board book, learning to recognize familiar objects and animals that can found on a farm.

Cows Can Moo! Can You? (All About Farms) – Many of the books in The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library have been a fun addition to our home library. A Few More Favorite Farm Stories:

  • Biscuit’s Day at the Farm
  • Big Red Barn – One of Margaret Wise Brown’s classic books!
  • Hogwash by Karma Wilson – A fun and silly read! Those pigs are not at all interested in the farmer giving them a bath. Karma Wilson is the author of the popular Bear books. Bear Stays Up for Christmas has been a long-time favorite in our house.
