Nature Walk Painting
This Nature Walk Painting idea can be fun to do anytime of year!
As you can see, the photos in this post were snapped in the fall (back when my boys were little – Be still my heart!), but you can make this activity work for your kids no matter the season.

How to Make this Creative Idea Happen
- Begin by taking a nature walk with your kids.
- As you walk, allow them to gather items like rocks, leaves, flowers, acorns, pinecones, etc. What kinds of things are plentiful where you live?
- When you get home, it’s time to paint!

Art Supplies
- a tray of some kind (You can find a variety of options here.)
- age-appropriate paint
- paintbrushes
- small container of water, if needed

For younger kids, you may want to offer washable paints.
Older kids might prefer to use acrylic paints for this project.

Either way, this is such a special activity that kids of all ages can appreciate.

Some kids find painting to be a very calming experience.
Turn on some relaxing music and set your artists free to create!

This art experience gives kids time to notice – really notice – the details of a variety of different things in nature.

What an amazing opportunity to turn their hearts toward the Creator of all things – and His incredible design!
The same God who made ______ made you, too!
