Froot Loops No-Bake Treats
A few months ago, I grabbed a box of Froot Loops for a couple of activities I wanted to do with my kids. I was excited for them to try this Fine Motor Skills game…
…and then we made rainbows together…
…but I still seemed to have a lot of Froot Loops left in the box (I must have grabbed the biggest box they had at the grocery store!), so I decided to use the rest of them to make these toxic, dye-filled treats to take to a recent church event. 😉
Yes, the dyes and such were why I didn’t want these things hanging around my house, but I have to say, they made the cutest little treats that would be super fun to serve at just about any festive occasion.
Ingredients:
- 1 Box of Froot Loops
- 1 Bag of Marshmallows
- 1 Stick of Butter
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step #1: In a large pot (I usually use my favorite soup pot.), melt the stick of butter.
Step #2: After the butter is melted, pour in the marshmallows – Yes, all of them.
Step #3: After the marshmallows have melted/mixed with the butter, stir in the Froot Loops.
If you’ve ever made Rice Krispie Treats, you know this step can require some muscle.
Step #4:Â After the mixture is stirred, spread it evenly in to a greased 9 x 13 pan.
Quick Tip: If I’m taking a treat like like this to a potluck gathering, I like to use my favorite disposable pans from Sam’s Club, and I go ahead and cut the dessert in to squares before I get there!
