A Brag Board for Your Child’s Bedroom
A brag board for your child’s bedroom is a great way to celebrate all of their creations and accomplishments.

What is a Brag Board?
It gives you a single place in your home to display your child’s most recent:

Some families may choose to use the front of their refrigerator for this, but the one in our kitchen isn’t magnetic, so this idea has been a great alternative for us.
Over the years, each of my kids have had one in their room, and here’s how I put them together for them.
How to Create a Brag Board for Your Child
I started with a framed corkboard. I found all of ours at Home Goods.

Next, I chose a high-quality wrapping paper that matched the style, color-scheme of each child’s bedroom and covered the cork with it.

I was usually also able to find what I needed at Home Goods – or Hobby Lobby.
I cut the wrapping paper to size and then stapled it directly to the cork.

Depending on the age of your child, they may want to help with this part of the project.
They may also want to help pick out additional accents for their board.

Now it’s time for your child to display their work!

I have chosen not to publicly share photos of the boards in our house as there are lots of personal items on them, but I’m sure you can imagine:
- certificates from summer camp
- AWANA awards
- swim ribbons
- basketball medals
- drawings from Art for Kids Hub
- special notes/cards from grandparents
For hanging items, you can use:
- push pins
- sticky tac
- staples
Disclaimer: Consider the age/stage of your child and what would be safest for them to have in their space.
A Brag Board can grow with your child!
Over time, as new projects are made, accomplishments are achieved, etc. encourage your child to chose older items they want to remove from their board and rehome to whatever Memory Bin system you may have in place, making room for any new items they want to display.

Are you ready to declutter your stuff?
