Preparing for a Cereal Get Together

If you’re the one hosting this event, send out a casual invite to your friends,

“Hey guys, we’re hosting a Cereal Night! Come with your favorite kind of cereal. We will provide the milk, bowls, and spoons.”

Something like that works! Of course be sure to include the date, time, location, etc.

This can be fun to do at breakfast, lunch, or dinner time.

It makes for a fun breakfast for brunch gathering but can also be the sweetest, silliest brinner idea.

What’s your favorite cereal?

My favorite cereal is Golden Grahams! What’s yours?

Maybe Provide a Few Extras

If you’re the host, it can be helpful to your guests if you provide some extras:

  • a variety of cereal options
  • fruit
  • squeeze pouches for any kids who may come
  • a couple of different kinds of milk – especially if there are allergies to consider
  • a variety of juices to enjoy

QUICK TIP: In that party bucket, the milk is on ice.

As we’ve hosted fun gatherings like this, I have been so bad about remembering to take photos of the get-together.

It can be a mixture of things: I’m usually having too much fun hosting, but I also try to respect the privacy of our guests. Many of our friends would prefer not to be featured on a public website – ha!

But I think you get the idea of how much fun this can be!

Want to make this a full-on breakfast potluck?

One time when we hosted this event, our friends decided to contribute cereal AND another breakfast item of choice.

We had sausage balls, bacon, egg casserole, fruit, etc. This was definitely more filling than just eating sugary cereal – but you know what your friend group would enjoy best!

We are currently in a stage of life where there are lots of kids and teens around our house – so these days, the more food the better!
