These little seasonal collections have been favorites in our house for a few years now. My older boys even enjoyed them when they were younger!
Four Seasons Books for Young Readers
First up is this fun weather set by Scholastic:
- Learn about Rain
- Learn about Sun
- Learn about Wind
- Learn about Snow
I originally found this set second-hand. I’ve spotted a few online (such as here), but this series may be a little tricky to easily gather at this time.
Next up, the Let it… series – this set is so much fun to read aloud with little ones.
- Let it Rain

- Let it Snow
This is a super inexpensive little series I’ve been able to gather on Amazon.
Next up, this faith-based alphabet set of four seasons books.
These aren’t just for itty bitty kiddos who are beginning to learn their letters. These books will also capture the interest of kids who are beyond that stage.
- God’s Springtime Alphabet: K is for Kite

Now for an adorable set that my girls have always gravitated to when it’s time to read together.
I have yet to come across a book from Cottage Door Press that wasn’t a hit with my kids. The quality of their books definitely stands out, which made me feel comfortable investing in this set of four books.
I purchased them one-by-one from Amazon! Not only have my kids enjoyed the flap surprises, but I feel like these books TEACH. Woven throughout these books is information that teach them something new about the world around them.

There is a book for each season of the year.
The illustrations are sweet, and I love the theme of friendship woven throughout the stories.
These books are perfect little bedtime read-alouds, but are also fantastic to building confidence in those students who are beginning to independently explore chapter books.

As we walk through the seasons of the year, I like to pull out the books from each of these sets and add them to the book basket in our living room.
They’re perfect for cuddling up to read together.
Over the years as I’ve enjoyed them with my kids, I’ve loved watching their knowledge of seasons, weather, habitats, etc. extend over time.
