• We would create a classroom bar graph that displayed the students’ preferred type of pancakes: plain, blueberry, chocolate chip, etc.
• At some point – usually around lunchtime – we would make pancakes. We measured, mixed, poured – the whole thing! Classroom parents usually came to assist with this. I always had such amazing parents to work with each year.
• Throughout the day, we would read books about pancakes and do various pancake-related activities.

• Pancakes – We were able to check this cookbook out from the library.
