Brown Sugar Banana Bread

This Brown Sugar Banana Bread is perfect for any time of year! I recently fell in love with the recipe – especially after my mom told me that it tasted JUST LIKE the banana bread her mom used to make years ago – a recipe I never had the chance to try. That little tidbit of history has made me love this recipe even more…oh yeah, and it tastes delicious, too!

Brown Sugar Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients: 

  • 2 1/2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Cup of Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup of Packed Brown Sugar
  • 3 1/2 Teaspoons of Baking Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 3 Tablespoons of Vegetable Oil
  • 1/3 Cup of Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 Mashed Bananas (The riper the better!)
  • 1 Cup of Chopped Nuts

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease bottom of loaf pan.

Mix together all of the ingredients and toss the mixture in to the loaf pan.

Bake for approximately 1 hr (60-70 minutes).

As soon as you pull it out of the oven, sprinkle a handful of brown sugar on top of the bread!

Allow the bread to cool before slicing then go crazy!

It’s perfectly perfect in every way – and even more perfect when enjoyed alongside a cup of coffee!
