Chocolate Dipped Cookies: Oreos & Nutter Butters
Chocolate Dipped Cookies just kind of happened in our kitchen one day!
We had the cookies, and we had the chocolate.

So we started dipping, and we’ve never looked back!
We’ve tried lots of different combos, and I’m excited to share our favorites with you.
Chocolate Dipped Cookies – What You Need to Get Started:
- 1 Package of Oreos – Anything goes here! The regular ones, Golden Oreos, Double Stuf – just do your thing!
- 1 Package of Nutter Butter Cookies – Either the peanut-shaped ones or the round ones will work!
- 1 Package of Melting Chocolate – White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate – you decide! We have used different kinds of almond bark, the melting wafers pictured here, etc. Do you have a favorite melting chocolate you prefer?
Chocolate Dipped Cookies – Step-by-Step Directions:
- Open the packages of sandwich cookies.
- Immediately eat at least one cookie – just to start things off right.
- Begin melting your almond bark. (For this step, I like to use my double boiler.)
- While your chocolate is melting, eat two or three more cookies.
- When your chocolate is completely melted, dip each of your leftover cookies in chocolate.
If you like, you can quickly use your other hand to sprinkle fun toppings right on to the chocolate coating and then carefully lay the dipped cookies out on wax paper.
Your kids and grandkids will love helping with this part!

- Nutter Butter + Vanilla Almond Bark + Topped with Peanut Butter Baking Chips

Got leftover chocolate?
After dipping and dipping and dipping, sometimes we have leftover chocolate.
The last time that happened, we tossed the rest of our melted almond bark with peanuts and the final handful of peanut butter baking chips.
This might look like a hot mess, but it was delicious!
