Pete the Cat’s Wacky Taco Tuesday – If you have a Pet the Cat fan in your house, they will have fun with this silly taco story. This version of this book includes stickers. There is also a Pete the Cat Terrific Taco Game that would coordinate well with this read.

Little Taco Truck – Do you have taco trucks where you live? We have a couple of fantastic ones here in our area. This is one of our favorite quick-pickup dinner ideas.

Taco Tuesday – This finger puppet book was a favorite in our house when my kids were little. Someone gifted it to us, and it brought us lots and lots of laughs!

Art Activities with Tacos in Mind

Draw a Taco. – Art for Kids Hub shares how to draw this funny taco. They also have a Christmas taco and a burrito, too!

Make a paper taco. – This paper taco craft requires simple art supplies you probably already have on hand: paper, scissors, glue, pencil/marker, and some googly eyes just for fun.

Food Ideas

  • How about a taco bar? This idea is so easy to set up and can be built to fit the specific tastes of your kids or grandkids.
  • Ever heard of Walkin’ Tacos? The setup would be similar to a taco bar – but instead of building tacos, the taco ingredients go down in a single-serving bag of chips. This idea is easy and fun for kids!
