Creamy Orzo Skillet Meal
The first time we tried a meal like this it was this delicious Tortellini Bake from Easy Eats Dietician. We decided to try this recipe idea with orzo to create this Creamy Orzo Skillet Meal.

The list of ingredients is simple, but the flavor is impressive!

Ingredients to Make this Orzo Dish
- a 1 lb. box of orzo
- a box of Boursin Cheese – We typically make this dish using the Garlic and Fine Herbs flavor of Boursin, but the Shallot and Chive option from Boursin is also delicious.
- a pint a grape tomatoes – red, yellow, or a little of both!
- a large handful of spinach
- 6+ cloves of garlic
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Creamy Orzo Skillet Meal Recipe
- Begin by cooking your orzo to your desired tenderness. Drain and set to the side.
- Next, chop the garlic cloves and tomatoes and sauté them in olive oil in your skillet.
- Once that mixture begins to brown, add the cooked orzo and the round of Boursin cheese to the skillet.
- As the cheese melts, stir the mixture – making sure everything is evenly distributed. Once it is, chop your spinach, carefully incorporating it into this skillet dish.

Now it’s time to serve!

This meal is delicious served warm, and in my opinion, it also tastes great cold.
If you love leftovers, this reheats nicely – but makes for a delicious cool pasta salad-style lunch the next day as well.

This glass storage container is from IKEA. We have had a variety of these for years, so I’m not sure if this exact style is still sold in-store or on-line, but if not, I’m sure they have something similar.
